Playing these characters would be incredibly difficult. Kudos to these actors.

Dysfunction….class distinction is evil. All are equal. That is how our Creator made us to be. (Acts 10:34) When man puts rules above equality, it always leads to pain and problems.

Remind me of the film "Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf"… Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor. Very eccentric, the wealthy. Passionate about nothing. 🎥💋

Ullmann nailed the cook – the conservative Christian who believes the dogma that the "last are the first", yet chooses to still worship the wealthy as their "superior". However, she failed with John and Julie here. Julie was not a mentally defective victim, and John was not a confused and torn servant. He understood and resented his position completely and used manipulation in the most Machiavellian way to cut the snobbish Julie down to size. He broke her and her betrayal of her class and disgust at sleeping with a servant is what ultimately caused her to take her life. Class and gender struggle were paramount in Strindberg's play. Not mental illness and confusion over one's place within the system.

A 19th century Karen. Entitled, spoiled, privileged. We create our own prisons, our own cages. Class and aristocracy are all constructs that have nothing to do with our true humanity. Bottom line. That bitch is crazy!

Way too much psycho-drama and not enough drama. There have been better depictions and illuminations of isolation, social paralysis, and compelling desire.

Oh! colors, the very idea of changing or infusing all outside lights with different colors is creating amazing effects, today only i saw a house with lilac soft house lights, looked fabulous charming, small thoughtful changes can bring such beautiful atmosphere.

again Human emotions in all their variations make for the most interesting viewing especially the troubled zones, because straight sedate running are well that only nothing happening except normalcy of everyday life, drama always after a point thrives on that element of troublesome spanner thrown in, also class only comes in question when there is no scarcity of commodity, even if commodity is human being with its friendship or sexuality or whatever the person wants to have with another human being. i can bet you in some lost no contact island put royalty there and you will see them eating snails out of water same as any other human being caught in flux of certain situations in life.

Now that we know most actors/actresses are transgendered, I can't help but wonder if Miss Julie is a man. She has many male characteristics, like big square male jaw, cleft in chin, no figure, straight as a stick, wide-set eyes. Knowing this has taken a lot of fun out of watching movies. You wonder who's performing rituals and eating feces, to get those roles.

I rather enjoyed this movie. It has its faults but it's very cerebral, & there is some stellar acting within if you'll just see it through.

Though I love the actors, that was confusing to watch. Let's not do this. /Let's do this./ We are going. /You are going. /Nobody is going/? And why was that the only ending that was possible? Is everybody insane? Can't figure out who they really are and what led up to this. I guess I needed a narrator..It was sad to see the main character's decline. Who were the good guys? I hated to see so much raw tension between three people. How could they stand to live together? This version explains it so much better! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TGjwdnlw9k&list=PLBA3DBABB34EEAEAB

Miss Julie is misusing her position over the servants. She really is disgusting. (this applies to lords who took advantage of the maids too. ) something is wrong with how they think about other people to use them in that manner.

This is not a plot action movie; you watch it for the phenomenal acting, which is palpapable & real time by some of the best actors (Chastain, Farrell, & Morton) out there. It's about two people who deal with sex before and after in the context of strict social class.

Certainly the Spirit spake of society system in scripture"When that which is perfect is come", because crowd controller merchants typical of Catholicism must progress ie same as turning towards repentance.

Definitive is perfecting systematically, or else it is perfectly stagnated/polluted in constipation.

Such classism status mindedness is an extremely Pretentious Religiosity where people were malformed lost. Since they never realistically owned themselves, how could they dedicate themselves for belonging to purpose or else anyone?? How can finding oneself begin before discovering yourself in your horizon? All of these characters were clueless how they could receive an ownership life.
Awareness advanced painfully to perceive their problem of dependencies. Same as Elitists always are least secure when fractional freedom rings/tingles; actually depravities usually backslide into partitions before autonomy ever starts.

Dampness in a glass's bottom always was pretentiously touted as a glass half-full, but realistically the broken glass never accomplished 2-way street mending. Behold without togetherness-mending our togetherness is never mended.

Thus scripture "rend double honor unto (Strengthen) elders who labor in Word (stumbles attempting societal progress)", coreectly interprets into support more the managers who increase self-nurture opportunities for them managed. If leadership's repentance can't feel securely supported, how can society evolve without peaceful progression?

You have no champions whom are not guaranteed viability for their submitting to progression!!! Hell's surrender equals Heaven's salvation. To be nigga-factory, or not to be nigga-factory is the question. Or is it to become HEAVENLY nurture or not become HEAVENLY nurture?
