Last pre-upload before my labour & delivery vlog! 👀 Baby is a month old now, have been really enjoying my time off filming/writing but so excited to get back on here more now that I’m getting the hang of ‘trimester 4’ 😜💚

(Re: the knitting convo at the end) I started crocheting because a therapist recommended it years ago! It’s so comforting.

I see people have already commented this, but these talks you do with people would work brilliant (!!) as podcasts! You're a delight to listen to!

In my opinion, cancelling is important, but it's an extreme. Give people the time to reflect on their actions and words. Let people make mistakes. But if they refuse to do that and continue to be a dangerous influence/character, then they should lose their platform.

Cancelling should never be the first step.

Hi! I know you dont want debates about this under your content… But Im saying this because I care about your health: please consider wearing a mask or making a zoom call the next time you have to make a video like this with another person.
I work in a covid-19 lab, were we test people…we have had some babies that were positive for the virus 🙁

In terms of good responses to excessive trolling, I'd hugely recommend looking at trans activists on Instagram like Alok vaid-menon and travis Alabanza, and particularly Rain Dove! Always incredibly impressed by their dignity and calm in the face of the constant onslaught against them 🌈

loved the energy in this video, you can tell that guys actually respect each other's thoughts and feelings rather than just collabing for the sake of it!

That was such a lovely chat to listen in on. I love this lady, she seems so cool and what I'd like to be like when I'm older lol. There was a really nice chill vibe, but also informative and super interesting discussion going on, loved it.

What you said about women being in competition with one another was really interesting as I recently came across a similar thing where I found myself in competition with another woman without realising it. I caught up with a friend I made in university who I hadn't seen in months because of covid, and she said that when we had a university seminar together she envied how well I could speak and how well I made points, and then I admitted that I felt the exact same way about her; I used to think 'I wish I was as smart as her!' and disliked her subconsciously because of it. It's crazy how women are put in these situations and it was cool to be able to communicate that and realise our own biases and how women can be pinned against each other without even realising it!

Would highly recommend amandabb's video "let's talk about cancel culture"! She made me think so much deeper about the issue and all the complex layers that exist within it.

I think sometimes cancelling someone totally is nescearry, like Shane Dawson, he is a dangerous person who has harmed children and animals and has put children in danger over and over again, and that's just not something you can come back from. Faking a pregnancy? Terrible thing to do, that person very clearly needs physcatric help but has the potential to redeem themselves. Being a pedophilie and openly on camera kissing underage kids, talking and behaving inappropriately to children, on camera? Not something you can ever come back from and most certainly should not have a platform, especially when their main audience is kids and underage teens

Did you hear about what happened to hobbie stuart. A one night stand faked a pregnancy with twins! He stepped up to take care of the babies and was getting ready for it. The girl just ghosted him and he had to track her down via family to find out it was all fake! Really heart breaking!

Jason Derulo totally deserved that cancellation party though lol

One point I'd like to make, which I find quite interesting, is that a part of cancel culture is believing people don't change. But we were brought up, the majority of us, by people who did not change and did not learn from their mistakes. Millenials are the first generation to normalise therapy, self – reflection, growing beyond the childhood years, educating oneself, outgrowing stagnant beliefs. And that is because we grew up without the internet but we are witnesses of how fast things can change now, how different the job market is than 10 and 20 years ago, so we know we need to keep learning new skills, developing our character in order to remain relevant, to earn a living, to survive basically. That is why we were brought up to believe people do not change – even our aunts, and definitely our parents, believed the same things , voted for the same, held the same job and the same friends most of their life, that is why when someone presents a problematic opinion the tendency is to believe they have and will not outgrow it. But people do change, they do not change their character, but one can definitely learn more and evolve, and it is much easier nowadays.
