After watching film do you guys see a bunch of glaring coaching issues or is it more player execution? How does that compare to 3 games in last year? Great content!

Looking for some thoughts: First defensive clip Mr. Robinson does not get his hands up to try and deflect the ball or try to reroute the throw to the flare route. Also, he plays the man and not the gap. This is one question I have while watching the defense; our defensive ends allow the OT to get their hands on them instead of playing to get past the OT. Now I know you need to set the edge for run support, but you need to be free to do that more effectively. Second defensive clip (3rd and 2): Why are the LB's 5 yards off the ball and blitzing Lundy from that distance? If Warner stays home and fills that other gap then there might b no gain on the play. Also, there were several times where the LB decided to go inside the block instead of outside forcing the runner back inside. I always tell my defense to force the runs into the middle where you have help. Last point: The defense got better not because of Fuller or the defense, it was because of Norvell. When you game plan for an offense you try to take something away….mostly the run and force them into passing the ball. We are not good at either. But you can force them into that one dimension when you score on 5 straight plays and you are up on the scoreboard. I bet you will find our better defensive performances when this happens.

First, I'd like to apologize to all my fellow Nole fans out there. I followed the game for the first three or four possessions of the game and obviously that is why we started so slow.

Next on the play the you start talking about at 12:42 specifically with regards to Johnson. It appears to me that he is not supposed to try and block the end as he could but passes him up. After that he really doesn't have anyone to block. Douglas ends up being between Johnson and 24 on the defense and he'd have to go through Douglas to block him and would also end up pushing him towards the ball. Maybe he could have done more with 18 but in this case it wouldn't have mattered as 18 didn't stop the runner. I'm not going to fault him as much as you did for not blocking anyone unless he was supposed to block the end.

Last, on the play that begins at 29:18 I think you were a little hard on Gainer here. Yes it looks bad but initially he is reacting to the play fake but doesn't bite too hard and take himself out of the play at the snap. After that I think that his responsibility is probably the flat and he starts to move towards 14. If that is what he is supposed to do didn't he react correctly? Jones is lined up deep and is back peddling at the snap so I don't think the flat is his. So either Gainer covers the flat and 14 or he covers the guy in the slot. He can't do both and when he recognizes that it isn't run I think he is moving quickly to his responsibility. Really that is probably just a well designed play by the offense, maybe the safety #4 should have moved up to cover the slot guy but I think as you pointed out earlier this is just a case where the LB has to chose and the offense, if run correctly, will always make it the wrong choice.

Great video by the way even with these points that I disagreed with you on. Go Noles!

Toughest opponent we've fave so far will Mop the floor with FSUs weak D, but our Jordan Travis led offense scores some TDs.

What people fail to mention about this game is Marvin Wilson came back from targeting suspension and played 2nd half…changed how the whole def played which limited JSU to only "3" points #NoleNation

Clemson will have their way with this D – yet again, unfortunately….along with most of our opponents. We're still not bumping the receiving as they start their route on a consistent basis.

The play where DJ Lundy blitzes and Warner starts running to the right, I think Lundy was supposed to have the running back. Warner knowing this, tries to do DJ’s job and runs out of his lane.
